Moulton History

When:

On April 4, 1932, Fred F. Fehrenkamp called to order a meeting of interested citizens for the purpose of organizing a volunteer fire department.  That evening the Moulton Fire Department came into existence.  Twenty-four active and twenty honorary members were present.

The Moulton Fire Department was organized before the City of Moulton was incorporated.  The Department was started by a purchase of a 1917 Model American La France chain-driven Pumper Type 700.

A new fire station was built in 1938.  Today, a new fire station is being constructed.

The Moulton Fire Department's source of income for operations is through donations, fundraisers and grants.
