US History - George Washington

The 1st U.S. President. Washington served two terms. An American War General in the American Revolutionary War. As chief of the executive branch and head of the federal government, the presidency is the highest political office in the United States by influence and recognition. George Washington was born on February 22, 1732 in Westmoreland County, Virginia and died on December 14, 1799.
