Mission Statement
The mission of the Moulton Police Department is to enhance the quality of life in the City of Moulton by working cooperatively with the public and within the framework of the U.S. Constitution to enforce the laws, preserve the peace, reduce fear and provide for a safe environment. It is the OBJECTIVE of the Moulton Police Department to safeguard the lives and property of the people we serve, to reduce the incidence of crime, and to enhance public safety while working with the community to improve their quality of life. Our mandate is to do so with honor and integrity, while at all times conducting ourselves with the highest ethical standards to maintain public confidence. We shall strive to improve the quality of community life through the provision of quality and equitable services. We shall always engage in behavior that is beyond ethical reproach and reflects the integrity of police professionals. We shall ensure all persons are treated fairly and equitably. The role of the police is to resolve problems through the enforcement of laws - not through the imposition of judgment or punishment. Law enforcement and public safety reflect a community wide concern, therefore the Moulton Police Department will actively seek the involvement of citizens in all aspects of policing.
