Garbage

All trash carts must be street side by 7:00 a.m. each Monday morning. 
One trash cart is provide with each utility account.  Additional carts are available at an additional cost per month for residential.
One additional trash can be placed with the trash cart at no additional cost.  Recycling carts are available to all in city utility accounts at no extra charge. 

What is single-stream recycling?
A system in which all paper, plastic, metals, glass and cardboard are mixed together. 

Acceptable items for single-stream recycling:
Magazines, junk mail, catalogs, newspaper, envelopes, sticky notes, filed folders.
Plastics (types 1 PETE, 2 HDPE, 3 V, 4 LDPE, 5 PP, 6 PS and 7 Other).
Glass (types beer bottles, wine bottles, rinsed food jars, brown, clear and green glass.
Cardboard, flattened cereal boxes, cookie boxes, food boxes, shipping boxes, shoe boxes, paperboard and corrugated cardboard.
Metal and aluminum, rinsed out vegetable cans, beer bottle caps,  soda and beer cans, aluminum foil and disposable aluminum baking pans.

Unacceptable items for single-stream recycling:
Garbage, food, pizza boxes, plastic bags, Styrofoam cups, egg cartons and take out containers, light bulbs, batteries, aerosol cans, coat hangers, clothing, CDs or DVDs pet food bags, pet waste, motor oil bottles, garden hoses, feed bags with shiny vinyl coating and frozen food boxes.
